TCMTB Biocide, CAS 21564-17-0  2-(Thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole

TCMTB  is an oily, flammable, red to brown liquid with a pungent odor that is very slightly soluble in water. It decomposes on heating producing hydrogen cyanide, sulfur oxides, and nitrogen oxides. The degradation products are 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (2-MBT) and 2-benzothiazolesulfonic acid.

TCMTB is an  eco-friendly economical and effective mildewcide and algaecide. TCMTB has as highly efficient as BUSAN30L of Buckmam and BIOCIDE MT30 of Progiven against algae and mildew. It can be effectively used in water treatment, leather processing and coatings. It has very strong killing and control effects on the existing main bacteria, fungi and algae.

Our factory mainly produce three different purities of TCMTB, including 30%, 60% and 80%. The TCMTB 30 is water soluble, exactly the same as the product of American Buckman 30L;  TCMTB-60 and TCMTB-80 are solvent type, the Solvent IS Dipropylene glycol methyl ether (DPM). Both are insoluble in water.
