Chloroxylenol, also known as para-chloro-meta-xylenol, is an antiseptic and disinfectant. PCMX Disinfectant is an antimicrobial chemical compound used to control bacteria, algae and fungi in adhesives, emulsions, paints and wash tanks. Chloroxylenol is also commonly used in antibacterial soaps such as Dettol. Studies have shown a low antimicrobial activity which is enhanced by additives. Its antibacterial action is due to the disruption of cell membrane potentials.

Chloroxylenol does not contain alcohol but is formulated as an emulsion, requiring longer drying times, and provides less adhesion for the surgical occlusive drapes. Chloroxylenol is a representative disinfectant and antiseptic.

Application:

Used as the stabilizer in face cream, lipstick, shampoo and eye shadow.

Used to inhibit bacterial or fungal skin diseases, oral or anus disinfection.

3). For Industry

Used as disinfectant in room and clothes.

Instructions:

Add PCMX to dissolve in alcohol, benzene, ether and other solutions, and then mix it with other materials. Certain nonionic or anionic surfactants can completely dissolve PCMX without producing aggregates.
